Univeral Impact Technologies "Impact Breaker" Jun 1, 2005 3:38 PM The "Impact Breaker" economically simplifies the problem of secondary rock breaking. The accumulation of boulders that choke the quarry floor will no longer be a problem. Universal's "Impact Breaker" employs the principle of mechanical free fall operation with single impact energy that out class hydraulic hammers and rivals that of the old drop ball machine. In all models a drop weight is raised up the frame via a hydraulic cylinder and a nylon lifting strap. A process which can repeated up to twenty four times per minute. Universal's "Impact Breaker" can generate an impact up to five times it's own weight. The initial cost of the Universal "Impact Breaker" is typically lower that of a conventional hydraulic hammer and unlike those hammers the "Impact Hammer" uses less flow and pressure and can be utilized on older carriers allowing for more versatility among the fleet. Because the physical impact of the Universal "Impact Hammer" is much greater than conventional hammers, larger rocks can be broken with fewer blows thus less wear and tear to both the breaker and the carrier. Service is simple on the "Impact Breaker". There are no piston seals to replace, no accumulators to recharge, no bushings to replace and there is no lubrication required at all. Wear parts and spares are kept to a minimum. The simple fact is that the Universal "Impact Breaker" costs less to buy, costs less to run, and breaks large rocks faster.
