Low shock to the carrier. Conventional hydraulic hammers must be forced down hard on the rock while breaking is accomplished. The weight of the boom and power of the carrier are shocked with every impact. The Universal Impact Breaker is simply rested on the rock meaning that large impact loads are not transmitted through the carrier and the operator.

The Impact breaker is versatile in that it can be mounted to most commercially available

Wheel loaders and Excavators using a simple one way flow hydraulics and typically only requires a fraction of the flow and pressure of a conventional hydraulic hammer.

Long life and consistency of impact power is a plus for Universal's Impact breaker and because it is a drop hammer the power remains the same for the life of the tool. Because of the low frequency and high output of breaking force, carriers last longer because it takes fewer blows to break larger rock. This saves on breaker point wear and this coupled with the fact that Universal Impact Breaker points are typically only 60% of a point for a conventional hydraulic hammer the savings keep mounting up.

Lastly, the Universal Impact Breaker has no front head bushing to grease, no accumulators to re-charge the breaker gives years of trouble free service.
